Happy Birthday

ill Start this post with HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES to my Dear Daughter Carol

Hope you have a great day 23 January

Carol tucking into Morton bay bugs Christmas Day

G'day everyone,,

Another very hot week, I went to Pennant Tuesday 9.30am game start, by 11am the temp had reached 38c =100f the game was stopped due to heat rule. then returning back to our club. a few of us had a cold stubbie or 2 ,before I returned home for a much needed dip in the pool .

Today we had very severe winds and looked like we were in for a storm but Alas not a drop of rain turned into a dust storm .

To end with a few photo's of my day

My first stop out on the highway to hardware store

looking across from the hardware store

the dust getting picked up in the fields by the winds

same farm
on the way back into town
Along my street to the lake
I sat here to take the next pics and got quite wet from the spray comming off the water but the heat of the day dryed me very quickly .
The fierce wind was whipping the water to a frenzy
You can just make out some boys diving into lake in the background

Time for a little shopping before heading home

By the time I arrived home about 3pm the air was thick with dust
standing on my veranda looking across the road
The sky over my backyard about 7pm
Couldnt see the sun for the dust. another hot day tomorrow forecast.
Thats all folk

I promise to get around to visiting you all in the next day or 2

Jen, I loved all the pictures today. When you get those dust storms, what does it do to your swimming pool? Do you have to cover the pool with something? Just wondering. I've never been in a dust storm and don't care to be! I would suppose you have to hose everything down after it is all over.

Anyway, have a nice Week-end.

Happy birthday Carol and many more!

That wind does look wild.

I went to the beach today even though it was only about 6C it was lovely. Bright sunshine and blue sky.

Hope that dust goes away.

I hate dust storms. You cough and choke and even though you shut all the doors and windows and swelter in the process, dust gets in every where and things need cleaning. Give me a good tropical storm and downpour any day.

Happy birthday to Carol, it looks like she's enjoying those bugs.

That's all the better I can sing. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY LATE, CAZZ!

Next time please don't stay out so long in the dust, it isn't good for you. Is there sand mixed in with your dust? We had a lot in El Paso.

Thanks for the blonde joke below. I am glad she didn't get caught.

Happy birthday Carol!! Hope it was a great day for you.

And Jen....that wind? And hot you say? Wow, it looks like a tropical setting with the lake photos and the waves coming ashore! Too bad no rain tho. That would have refreshed you a bit.

Have a great weekend my friend.

Interesting photos. They look like they could have been taken here in the summer time. We have an occasional dust storm and sometimes they're so bad that it's dangerous to be driving.
Your daughter has a good name. It's the same as my daughter's.

truth, tho. they are a bug?

ha ha.

quite a spectacle of wind and dust. I detest those dust storms - we get them, too.

They taste horrible (the dust storms. )

Happy Birthday Carol, hope you had a good day.
Bloody dust storms Jan, they are a menace, judging by the waves on the lake the wind was pretty strong.

G'day Dear Jan ~~ The wind and dust were awful, but no rain. I heard Wang got 31 mms. Glad you liked the little girl saying her prayers.
I hope Carol had a great day.
And glad you liked the jokes on today's little extra post. I know the hot weather is coming again, the last couple of days have been good.
Take care, my friend, Love, Merle,

Happy Birthday to your daughter Carol. Wishing her best of health.

Thanks for sharing these photos. It gives me a good idea of how a dust storm can transform the day.

Take care.
