Hi Jen ~ wow your garden is so beautiful!!! Loved all your photos.
You sound very busy and so glad you did get to enjoy that yummy sounding meal with your sister (I miss mine all the way up in Darwin).
I hope you have a lovely time with your friends visiting.
Take care xo Kali
p.s. I love summer fruits too...we have nectarines and apricots growing in the garden, and I keep checking on them every day to see how they're going LOL.

Love your roses and orchids. Our orchids have finished flowering now apart from a couple of late ones.

How lovely of your sister to cook dinner for you. Glad you had that as a surprise.

Gorgeous orchids and roses! I love the variety of roses you have.

I like the nicknames or tags you put on those roses.

One thing I love about reading a number of different Blogs is that I get to visit two seasons everyday. When you are writing about winter weather, others on the opposite side of the world are writing about summer.

So here I sit confined to my wheelchair unable to get out much but still being able to tour the world.

Hi Jen,

As always loved seeing your flowers. WOW! Orchids seem to do sooo well there!

(It's a bit too cold here so I don't try to grow them much- but DO have one small yellow one)

Take care,

Glad to see that your garden is doing well, your orchids are beautiful, I have many in my garden but I am not very successful at it some times some of my plants go 2 to 3 years without flowers and the snails seem to enjoy them too.

Hi Jen:-) Your flowers are just gorgeous...I was thinking of all my Australian friends when Steve & I were at the Niagara Parks Greenhouse last weekend...they had many flowers and plants from your part of the world, including many orchids. I wish we could grow them here, but of course our climate is much too cold. Have a great week with your friends:-) xox

Oh, my, you certainly must have two green thumbs! Your flowers are beautiful. I've never known anyone able to grow orchids. I always thought they were fussy and required a great deal of care and perfect temperatures every moment--more work than a home gardener could handle.

That's luurvely stuff Jeanette; do you really have orchids growing in your back garden? Or did you fake it up with cut ones from the flower shop. Come on I know your tricks! Own up!!!

Seriously though we used to have TINY little orchids growing in our woodlands in Wales, they were... well, just like orchid flowers but about 1cm across... beautiful things... I think they are called "wood orchids"... only stupid certain dolt person next door neighbour let her dogs poo all over them (another story) hmmmm

Have a cheery weekend!
I'm heartily glad the old computer's back on it's legs (so to speak - don't let it run away)

Take care

Hi Jan~~ Your garden is just beautiful and I love the roses and the orchids. The white one is the same as my neighbor Helen had a while
back ~ finished now ~ it had 75 fronds. Never had any luck with orchids myself. Glad you liked Carl's
Garden and the jokes. I have posted earlier tonight, before I get too sleepy. Take care, Love, Merle.

Your flower pictures are soooo pretty! Mrs. Jim has given up on orchids, we have an artificial one on the coffee table.
For me you can keep on with the garden pictures too. You DO have a green thumb it seems.

And you are making good use of your computer now that it is back. Good for you!

Oh Jen, what do you do to make your orchids flower so profusely?? We were given some orchids about 20 years ago, and apart from the first year they have never flowered. We have moved them from one side of the house to the other, in sun and in shade. We've let them become potbound, we've dug them up and replanted them. We've fed and watered in some years, ignored them in other years. ZILCH! All we ever get is green leaves!! WAAAAAAAAAAAAH
