It was too cold to be outside today we had a low of -2 celius at 7am high of 11celius with very icy winds bbbrrrrr. Gwen, Brian (Gwens Husband)invited Pauline and Myself too lunch at the Club, after lunch we all played indoor carpet bowls, we all had a good day the team Pauline and Brian were in, were the winners of the day.

I have just watched my football team have its 1st win of the season. Go Tigers!!

Now Jan that is what I call beautiful art, stitching the work done by lovely people.

How nice they look and what treasures they will be for your daughters always & forever.

My mother does embroidery too and I have several of her pieces and am so pleased to have them the work involved is huge.

love the one you saved from the garage sale.

keep warm see you again.

Jen, That's beautiful work!!! My attempts have never been as tidy as that.

What does the back look like? The back of my work was a forest of stray threads and huge knots!

Dear Jan ~~ Really lovely - you are not just a pretty face. Glad you had a couple of nice meals at Paulines and then out with Gwen and Brian.
I am encouraged with Peter's comment - maybe he will like his lace doiley.
Thanks for your comments, the Teacher story was popular and glad you liked the jokes. Believe it or not I have been enjoying lots of chicken soup
that I made in thhe crockpot with giblets and vegies. Yummy.
Take care, my friend, Love, Merle.

Oh Jeanette - you saw my request! Thank you so much for indulging me! Your work is absolutely gorgeous...sigh..I would (a) love some of it in my collection and (b) wish I could stitch as well as that! I'm going to mention you on Patra's Place, so my stitching friends can pop in and admire your work too. Like me, they love to see what other people have done.

I love these , Jan! You do beautiful work!!

I have done very little embroidery and never got good at it! I love the ones with the birds. Reminds me of the things my mom and aunts did when I was just very small! Pillow cases were very popular back in those days!

Congratulations for receiving the Rockin' Girl Blogger award from our dear friend Anni (Hootin' Anni). You really deserve it! Thanks for sharing your beautiful flowers, stitch works and for sharing some laughter to everyone. Anni has been kind to share this award with me too and I feel very honoured.

Just Beautiful.....you really do nice work.....isn't it fun to find these treasures....I use to work at a craft place and bought a lot of projects when they were marked down....I had so many, that I didn't get to, so I sold them at a garage sale, or gave to goodwill... now I wish I would have kept them.....that is such an unusal piece...have you ever thought of selling your items on etsy.....only costs 20 cents to put it up, and a very small % when you sell it.....
