Hi Jan ~~ Great photos of your garden,
you have some nice things. I love the
granny's bonnets, or columbines. but it all looks so nice. I hope the smoke has eased as it has here. Yesterday was a
shocker, and with the power off didn't
help at all - it was off for nearly 6 hours. The fires seem to be safer now, what a wonderful job the fire-fighters
have done. We need a really good rain.
Take care, Love, Merle.

And the cold icy rain falls here - and the sky is gray and dismal.

Your columbine is so happy... did you call them granny bonnets? hmmm.

You must have something to keep those two from the heat

Hi Jen, great garden and lovely flowers, my garden needs a re-vamp. Have been thinking about you lots with all that smoke around. Also thinking about all the firefighters and owners of properties near the fires. Praying for rain and cooler temps. Cheers Margaret

You have lots of nice plants there Jen, I like the flowers of the Flame Tree. I thought about you last night when I was watching the V8 supercar race from Philip Island as they were talking about the bush fires and the heat.

Must take a lot of work to keep it looking so neat!

We have a lot of the same plants that you do! Have a giant sized staghorn fern-

Your garden is very pretty. Of course you are just the opposite seasons as we are.
At first I thought I could see clouds in that sky picture but it was only a smudge on my monitor.
That has to be scary.

Looks just like the Midwest US at Christmas... well except for everything is still alive there and there's NO SNOW on the ground. Other than that, I can't tell the difference!!! :-) ~ jb///

Hi Carol ~ Thanks for your comments. I can't believe your smoke alarm went off with the smoke from fires. Today it is bad here and the sun is bright orange or red, sending strange reflections down. But it is much cooler, thank goodness. You will have to get a lock on your bar or grog cupboard !! Relatives !! Carol, I hope you and all your family have a wonderful Christmas, and a very happy
New Year in 2007. I am off to my daughters in a week so will be off the air for a few days. But I will be here for a few more days. Take care, Love, Merle.

You have a gorgeous garden ... hope the heat doesn't do it any damage.
Has the smoke lifted out your way yet ?? It is quite clear here today, thank goodness.
Hope they can get those horrific fires under control soon. Those fire fighters are just amazing people.
Take care, Meow

So glad you haven't been smoked out. What fabulous flowers. Think I would need a really nice conservatory to grow some of them here. Getting a bit chilly here (though mild for December) so send us a few degrees LOL

That's quite a change from the smoked out ones. It makes me want to go on vacation to a warm climate. It's brown here now.

You are going to have a house full for New Year but it is great that all the family will be together. Doesn't happen often, not often enough.
