Happy Birthday Mum

Hey Jen's turned ???? (if I told she would come after me with the whacking stick, and I'm still afraid of that !!)

Here's a little something I did when I had my own web pages many moons ago, and I am wanting to share this again with everyone as it says it all.

I AM MY MOTHERS GARDEN

My mother kept a garden,
A garden of the heart,
She planted all the good things
That gave my life its start.

She turned me to the sunshine
and encouraged me to dream,
Fostering and nurturing
the seeds of self esteem.

And when the winds and rains came
she protected me enough...
But not too much ...
she knew I'd need to stand up strong and tough.

Her constant good example
always taught me right from wrong
Markers for my pathway
that will last a lifetime long.

I am my mothers garden,
I am her legacy
And I hope she feels the love
reflected back from me

Happy birthday mum,
Love you more with each passing day,
Carol

Hello Jen ~~ I hope you had a very Happy Birthday yesterday. I can guess what age you are NOT. When my Mum hit 70 she couldn't tell us enough, before that it was never you mind. And I think Peter is mentioning that he is 70, so you are not there yet. I've been there.
I do hope you are all right and they got all the bad out. And you are feeling well and enjoyed your day. Love, Merle.

Hi Jan, hope "the best catch in Yarra" had a terrific Birthday, sorry I missed it but a day late is better than nothing I guess.
Vicki and Rex are coming over to visit and we are going to the Gympie Muster, will be great to see them again, next trip isn't planned until March 2007 for Alan and Lyns daughter Jenna's wedding, see you then if not before.

If it is a round number, I know it.
..
I was going to run away on mine, it turned out Mrs. Jim and Karen had invited me to New York City, and we would be on my birthday.
I guess I ran away, but with them.
..
Your hubby is 50, daughter is 20, Grandma is ___. My kids are just about 50, grandkids are teens and twenties. But she isn't 104, that isn't round!

Happy Birthday Jen, and I hope you do a speedy recovery.

Caz, I love your poem - I would be pleased if my daughter had those sentiments and thoughts in her head, but I think she might, you have expressed it so well.

thank you
Della

Hi mum,
It would take me hours to read everything on here. But at least you know I have looked. Great job, you are always full of surprises.
Cheers. See you soon
Love Donna
