Strawberry Farm

Deciding to do something different to fill in our day and to get out of the hot sun, we headed to Koonoomoo Cobram, Victoria 40 min drive from home to the "The Big Strawberry".

Here are a few photo's of our outing

How delicious, all those calories worth every bite, "Strawberry Sundae" for two.

My mate Gwen and myself sharing this delicious treat

Here is my daughter Joanne after finishing her pancake decided to help us finish our last bite.

You can get some nice strawberry recipe's from Joanne's site.

ALL GONE!!!!!!!!!!! followed by a Crown Lager (Beer)

My sister Pauline, enjoying a strawberry pancake, smuthered in cream and strawberry icecream.

After we had over eaten we decided to pick some fresh strawberries to take home.

Here I am, picking the strawberries

Here we are all out in the strawberry patch and the kids were having fun helping us pick.

These pictures are disgusting ! You sit in the hot sunshine and are eating strawberries (which here are now almost more expensive than russian caviar) and I sit here with 2 sweaters, the heating on and outside it's grey and raining ! And on top of this you all seem to have a lot of fun !I am jalous !!!

LOL- this whole post made me smile- especially the photo of you and your pal wiping your faces after! :) All of those strawberries looked delicious- not to mention the cream!
l used to do cattle ranching in a place called Poteet Texas- Poteet was known as the strawberry capital-lol. Every year they'd have the strawberry festival- lots of fun. The water tower that stands above the town was painted as a strawberry too :)
Looks like you're all enjoying the sunny weather.

The strawberries look wonderful, especially when I turn my head and look out at the snow here in northwest Washington State! We are NOT supposed to have snow, except in the mountains, but it is now here. A local cartoon in the newspaper recently had a guy saying that if these were 100 year storms, then he must be 342 years old. And that is only this year's worth.

Thanks for your visits to my blog. The Elvis show was very good this time, and Pat and I are very well, thank you. Big things may be coming up there later this year.

Hi Jan. Welcome back. I'm glad you picked some to take home. Just be careful you guys and don't get to hot.
BTW, it seems Pauline had her beer before having strawberries. Or is her can down as a signal for more beer?
Thanks for the family pictures too.

Hi Jan,
I think I gained a few pounds just looking at the pictures. I sure hope my strawberries come on strong this year. Right now it is below zero so I am not thinking strawberries, I am thinking staying warm. Now if I could just get that wife of mine to go get some wood....

Hi Jan ~~ Glad you liked the blind girl story. The boyfriend made the mistake of giving her BOTH eyes, when one would have done the trick. Aging
jokes are usually popular as some of us are aging!! Well we all are, but some haven't got as far as some of us. Take care, Love, Merle.

Oh Jen... how can you do this to me? I am digging around in my kitchen for something nice to eat, without much luck - cheese and a dry cracker, and then I open your blog and see this!

Mind you, we've got Corned Silverside cooking in the slow cooker for dinner, so it's probably the smell that is making me hungry - so come to think of it, strawberries and sugar, who wants that? ::crying into keyboard::

your Xmas get together looks like it was fun too...
