A male Peacock in full plumage is surely among the most beautiful and spectacular The Black-necked Stork, or Jabiru, is the only stork found in Australia. Standing at a height of 129 - 137 cm, with black and white body plumage, glossy dark green and purple neck and massive black bill, it is easily distinguished from all other Australian birds. The legs are long and coral-red in colour. The female is distinguished by its yellow eye. Immature birds resemble adults, but the black plumage is replaced by brown and the white plumage is duskier.
are a large flightless bird and very shy but when cornered can lash out dangerously with their claws their feet possess a large inner claw which can be deadly.WELL
Here i am holding 2 year old Crocodile its mouths taped

Wheres mum !!
You might have read in the comments that mum was having a colonoscopy on Friday 18th. For those that are not aware, mum was diagnosed with bowel cancer in April, 2004. After quite lengthy and numerous operations, and areas of the bowel removed, she has been under constant specialist care, having blood test every 3 months and colonoscopys every 6th mths. We have had a few little scares with other growths popping up and being removed, and yesterday they found another small growth, but was able to remove it during the procedure. Mum is doing fine and her recovery has been good. She doesnt handle anaethestic very well, but I have spoken to her a few times in the last 24hrs and all is well, her spirits are high - she just has a nagging headache. She has her very good and life long friends Ron & Irene staying with her for a week or so, and they promise me they are taking very good care of her, and all is well. I know she will be chaffing at the bit to get back to the blogging community, which I expect will be sooner rather than later.
In advance I would like to thank you all for your good wishes and words of encouragement

Count, Then Count Again !!!
This was emailed to me some time ago, and you might have already seen it, but I think it is a very clever use of graphics. I just wish I was clever enough to come up with something so simple yet mind boggling !!!

I'm still here !!!!
Well you might or might not have missed my presence here along with Mum, but since getting my computer back, I have been so busy getting everything sorted and back on track, trying to catch up is the hardest thing without falling further behind .. now I know that might not make sense to some, but believe me when I say "its possible" !!!
I've had a very busy last few weeks, my daughter Serayha moved out of home, and into her own place with a few friends, which I will say was a very sad moment for me, and I thought I'd miss her terribly - but I think I see her more now and have more conversations with her than I did whilst she was living here !!!! She turned 20 on the 19th July, so we went out and did "lunch" that lasted a few hours, did girly things, shopped till we dropped, had a great day in all.
Hubby Ian turned 50 on 10th August, we planned to have a quiet celebration just go out for dinner etc, but family members had other ideas.
The weekend prior to his birthday, we had his family - Mum, brothers, sister-in-laws, nieces and not to forget my Mum, all come over and we did "lunch" at one of the local pubs, then back to our place for cuppa's followed by more drinking, which Ian crawled into bed around 5am. Sunday came and our guests left and headed back to Melbourne and left a very hung over Ian for me to care for !!!
Not to be out done, my family - brothers, sisters, in-laws and friends all come up last weekend, to help him celebrate along with my brother-in-law Brett who turned 40 on the 11th, yep a double whammie. We all went out to dinner at a lovely restaurant "Sebastians" had a bottle or two of red wine, then back home for ALOT more drinking, put on some choice music from the 70's & 80's, did a lot of "daggy dancing", we all had a great night, everyone stayed over. Did he learn from the previous w/end ... NO NO NO ... We wont talk about the next morning.. just let me say that there were quite a few very sad, sick and sorry looking people walking around and all vowing never to drink again !!!!
Well, enough rambling from me, and as tomorrow is Friday, here is my "Friday Funny". I hope it doesnt take to long to load, but it is well worth the wait, I laughed so hard watching this I just had to share it with you all. The commentary is not in English, but you dont need to understand what is being said... as they say pictures tell a thousand stories !!!
Have a great weekend everyone .. I think a quite one is what I'm gonna have !!
I have not forgotten you Peter .. PROMISE !!!! Will try and see what I can do this w/e.

A FEW LAUGHS
A man entered the bus with both of his front pockets full of golf balls and sat down next to a beautiful (you guessed it) blonde.
"Here's your first question," the foreman said, "Without using numbers,
represent the number 9."
Wit outa numbers?" The Italian says, "Dat is easy." And he proceeds
to draw three trees.
"What's this?" the boss asks.
"Ave you got no brain? Tree and tree and tree make nine,"
"Fair enough," says the boss. "Here's your second question.
rules but this time the number is 99."
The Italian stares into space for a while, then picks up the picture
that he has just drawn and makes a smudge on each tree.
The boss scratches his head and says, "How on earth do you get that to
"Each of da trees is dirty now. So, it's dirty tree, and dirty tree, and
dirty tree. Dat is 99."
The boss is getting worried that he's actually going to have to hire
this Italian, so he says, "All right, last question. Same rules again,
but represent the number 100."
The Italian stares into space some more, then he picks up the picture
again and makes a little mark at the base of each tree and says
"Ere you go. One hundred!"
The boss looks at the attempt.
represents a hundred!"
(You're going to love this one!!!)
The Italian leans forward and points to the marks at the base of each
tree and says, "A little dog came along and crap by each tree. So now
vyou got dirty tree and a turd, dirty tree and a turd, and dirty tree and
a turd... dat makea one hundred. So, whena I start?"

THE END OF LITCHFIELD TOUR
Termites build these mounds for several reasons: as a place to store plant material, to protect them from ants and other predators, and to provide them with dry ground in the event of season flooding. The photograph, shows a "Cathedral Mound" which is, perhaps, 100 years old, and is probably about 7or 8 metres tall.
The Lost City
The Lost City is an area of unusual sandstone pillars and block formations evoking the ruins of a long forgotten civilisation that have been sculpted by wind and rain over thousands of years.
Sunset from tour bus window
End of a very informative and most enjoyable tour and a very long day over .
Arriving back at Leepoint About 9pm

A FEW PHOTO'S OF NATURE WALK

MORE HOLIDAY PHOTO"S
Tolmer Falls, in magnificent Litchfield National Park, cascades over high escarpments into a deep plunge pool. A short walk takes you to a viewing platform at the top of the most spectacular waterfalls in Litchfield. Access to the bottom of the falls has been restricted to protect the habitat of colonies of ghost bats and orange horseshoe bats. Continue on the walk past some lovely small rock pools above the falls.
“The spectacular Florence Falls, , cascade into a plunge pool, set in a pocket of monsoon forest. Joanne took a refreshing dip in the plunge pool, then we enjoyed a scenic walk to the viewing platform high above the Falls, which affords views of the waterhole below.More Photo's to follow of the tour .Nature walk , croc farm .etc.

Aunties Brag # 1
Well I thought it was about time I did a little bragging ...
This is a pic of my nephew Kayne, besides being a great looking young man (which he gets from his aunty !!) he is also a great and mad Karts fanatic, he races at local meets and also competes in national competions. Well he raced at Rochester in the third round of the 2006 Golden Power Series, and was placed 2nd in the Junior National Heavies & 3rd in the Junior Clubman class. We, the family, are so very proud of all his achievements. He even made the headlines in the sports section of two of our local newspapers.
Mother & father (Donna & Brett) still have not come down from there high, and I cant say I blame them. Brett is already talking Formula 1 .. nothing like having a dream and aiming for the top !!!!
Here are a few pics that were taken by the sports photographer on the day.
Kaynes Kart #34.
Kayne (furthest on right) accepting his 2nd place trophy .. look at that smile, it will take alot to wipe that from his dial !!!
GO KAYNE GO
Cazz is BACK !!!!
Just a little note ... I'm BACK ONLINE .. YIPPEEEEE....**jumping up and down and squeeling with delight, doin a bit of a "bum dance"!!!
You just dont realise how much you rely on computers, until you dont have it at your disposal. I was totally lost, no chatting with friends, no blogging, no emails, no banking, no music, no gaming, I can go on and on. The upside to it all I finished a few novels, re aquainted myself with the TV, surround sound, DVD player, video remote controls, much to my hubby's horror (we all know how much they like to have control of those devices). I actually heard hubby mumble something that I never thought I would ever hear .."when is that bloody computer gonna be back". Now that its back, I've got that horrible task of reinstalling and reconfiguring programs, and trying to retrieve / find all my favourites sites etc. *Note to self - do regular back-ups .. sigh*
As you all have read, MUM is back - and I might add, quite happy with the changes that I made, liked the posts, music and pictures - I received the stamp of approval "Great job love, thanks for blogg-sitting". Now I'm not sure if that means "I'm back so, blogg off" or "I'm back, but happy for you to add a post here and there" .. so I'm I've decided to go for option 2 !!!!
I have read the comments about the music on site, and I hope I have fixed the problem of no controls showing. If you want to turn it off, just scroll to the header and it should appear there, if you are not able to hear the music, you need a player that can play .wav files, as I compress them to make them smaller and quicker to d'load. If you still have problems, please leave a comment and include the problem and I will try and rectify it asap.
Keep on smiling
